How much does therapy cost at In Between Counseling & Consulting?

Individual counseling sessions are $150. EMDR therapy sessions range from $150–$175. A free 15-minute phone consultation is available to all new clients.

Is telehealth therapy available?

I believe in transparency around the cost of care. Below are my current session rates. I also offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so we can determine if we're a good fit before you commit.

Insurance

I am currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama. If you have a different insurance provider, I can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) that you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits before our first session.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee. I understand that life happens — please reach out as soon as possible if something comes up.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed in our sessions is kept strictly confidential. There are a few legal exceptions — such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others — which I will review with you during our first session. Your privacy and trust are of the utmost importance.

Telehealth Sessions

Telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You will need a private space with a reliable internet connection. I am licensed to provide telehealth services to clients located in Alabama and Florida.

Communication Between Sessions

I am not available for crisis support between sessions. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), go to your nearest emergency room, or call 911. For non-urgent matters, you may reach me by email and I will respond within 1–2 business days.
